Chuck C shares his journey from addiction to sobriety, emphasizing the importance of surrender, community, and spiritual connection in overcoming alcoholism. His reflections highlight the struggle for self-acceptance and the transformative power of relatedness in recovery.
Some Ideas:
- When we (alcoholics) see one of us in a gutter, we know he's not there because he wants to be there. He's not there because he has to be there. .. Because he doesn't know how not to be there.
- We learned that we had to fully concede to our innermost selves that we are alcoholics.
- I discovered I was never alone anymore; I who have walked alone for lifetime. I never been a part of in my life.
- I think most of our troubles are caused by conditions on sobriety.
- There's only one problem in life that includes all problems and only one answer in life that includes all answers. The problem is duality and the answer is unity.
