Mary Jo began their talk by sharing humorous anecdotes about their nickname "Mj" and expressing gratitude to the event organizers, volunteers, and the Swedish fellowship for their contributions to the historic event in Sweden. They then reflected on their six years of service on the World Service Board of Trustees, recently concluding their term, and introduced current board members, emphasizing the importance of service for personal growth in recovery. Mary Jo further discussed the "courage to change" from the Serenity Prayer, their journey of overcoming public speaking fears and learning to play through improv, and the continuous internal peace and learning found through the program and service work, encouraging everyone to be "Honest, Open, and Willing."
